Each year the first of May is traditionally celebrated as 'workers day' on which (generally public sector) workers march through the streets of the capital. In France strikes and marches are by no means a rare event and having just heard on the news that the French national football team has (apparently) decided to go on strike at the world cup finals shows the nations readiness to go 'en greve'.
While I was at the rally many people were handing out these stickers below, the play on words being if you drop the 'G' from 'Greve Generale' it transforms from 'General Strike' to 'General Dream'...
