Jodhpur

I'm now in the city of Jodhpur further west into Rajasthan and so for it's been my favourite place visited. The city seems quite a prosperous place with a very laid back atmosphere and the people I've met here have been the most friendly and hospitable I've come across.
Like many cities in Rajasthan Jodhpur has it's skyline dominated by a historic fort which is very impressive, the shot above was taken from the nearby Jaswant Thada which is a memorial to the Maharaja Jaswant Singh.
Whilst out shooting one morning I discovered that the band I came across in Pushkar is not that uncommon in India as I ran into another one here in Jodphur announcing the procession of the Jain priest through the streets from his home to the Jain temple, I ended up sort of becoming their unofficial photographer and once we reached the temple I was invited inside to join them which was lovely

Whilst walking down from the fort this afternoon I found a rooftop cafe and stopped for a cup of tea, I came across this poster on the wall...
